Moranbah Town Square
Industry - Public Facilities
The Moranbah Town Square Revitalization Project aimed to enhance the civic hub located in the northwest corner of Moranbah. This area served as a focal point within the precinct, attracting shoppers, visitors, and community members alike. At the time, the site lacked essential amenities such as shade, seating, and points of interest, despite its central location and significance to stakeholders.
The project entailed the rejuvenation of the designated area, incorporating elements such as shade structures, comfortable seating options, and improved lighting to create a welcoming and functional space for the community. Additionally, the project aimed to integrate features that provided visibility into surrounding businesses, fostering economic activity and engagement within the precinct.
Acknowledging the challenges posed by current supply chain difficulties, the project required careful planning to ensure timely completion. Tenderers were required to submit realistic and achievable timelines, inclusive of supply and construction, with the goal of completing the works by June 30th, 2023. To minimize disruptions, there was a preference for a 10-week construction period, and tenderers were required to anticipate and address potential supply issues in their submissions.
Overall, the Moranbah Town Square Revitalization Project sought to create a vibrant and functional public space that met the needs of the community while contributing to the economic vitality of the precinct.

This development initiative, located in Queensland 4480, sought to address the growing housing needs of the community. Positioned in close proximity to the central business district and key amenities such as the swimming pool, hospital, and schools, the project aimed to provide convenient and modern living spaces for residents.
The initial stage of the project involved the construction of six two-storey freestanding residential units, comprising a mix of two-bedroom and three-bedroom layouts. Utilizing a concrete slab on the ground substructure, the development aimed to uphold high standards of construction quality and durability. Funding for the project was secured in part through the 2022-24 Local Government Grants and Subsidies Program, underscoring its importance in the town's development agenda.
